- THE TOP FIRST CLASS GETS A GUN 2
Two of the screenwriters of X-Men: First Class havereportedly been drafted to script Top Gun 2.
Variety claims Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz "are innegotiations to pen the sequel to Top Gun for Paramount and SkydanceProductions."
Jerry Bruckheimer, who produced the original, is back andwill produce the sequel along with Skydance's David Ellison are on board toproduce.
No plot details were revealed, but past scuttlebutt pegs TomCruise's Maverick as a mentor to a new hotshot pilot.
Oscar winner Christopher McQuarrie was previously aboard toscript the sequel.
