Patty Jenkins (Director of Monster the Charlize Theron Oscarwinning film) is in talks to headline the mighty avenger THOR’s next adventure.The director has shed some light on her thoughts about the film.

She was asked on Monday if Thor 2 was the next film on herslate. "I can't say, but yes," she said laughing. "I can't sayanything definitive, but it's exciting to be in talks with them about it."

She added that she knows she's an unusual choice for theproject. "I think Marvel is really ballsy to think outside the box. And Ithink everyone they've talked to and hired has been interesting."
The LA Times caught up with the film's leading man, ChrisHemsworth, and learned that he's got some favorable things to say aboutJenkins.
She has a great take on the story and a solid grasp on thatkind of universe,” says Hemsworth, "...Branagh read every comic book hecould get his hands on. She also looked like she had done her homework.”
