Before she returns to the role of Sif in Thor 2 next year,actress Jaimie Alexander will first saddle up as the female lead oppositeArnold Schwarzenegger in Last Stand.

Variety reports that "Alexander will play SarahTorrance, a beautiful cop under Schwarzenegger's command who enjoys a playfulromance with fellow officer Frank Martinez, who will be played by"300" star Rodrigo Santoro."

Friday Night Lights' Zach Gilford was also recently cast asone of the cops working for Sheriff Ah-nuld.

Filming on the Kim Jee-Woon-directed pic begins later thismonth in New Mexico for a January 18, 2013 release.
