Russell Brand will star in and produce The President StoleMy Girlfriend at Warner Bros. Pictures, says The Hollywood Reporter. The comedywas written by Matt Portenoy.

"In this movie, the president steals the girlfriend ofa sexy hippie—me, obviously," Brand said. "It was inspired by thenight I naively invited [Warners president] Jeff Robinov for dinner."

Producing with Brand is his Branded Films partner NikLinnen, with the company's Beau Bauman executive producing.

The trade says that Portenoy did a "well-received"rewrite on the upcoming Porky's remake.
