Twilight's Kristen Stewart has been offered the female leadin Warner Bros.' adaptation of Akira.
Twitch has the report on the live-action take on KatsuhiroOtomo's classic anime. Jaume Collet-Sera (Orphan) is directing the film.
If she accepts the job, Stewart will play Kei, the loveinterest of Kaneda. Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy) has reportedly been offeredthat role.
Gary Oldman and Helena Bonham Carter are also said to be upfor parts in the film.
Well all we know is that fans of Akira are dreading this,they really don’t want Kirsten to take over this Anime icon, what do you thinkof Kirsten going anime??
