In development for quite some time, Killing on Carnival Rowlooks like it may finally be close to the big screen as Deadline reports thatImmortals director Tarsem Singh is now attached to helm.

The film, from a spec script by Travis Beacham, is aboutabout a Victorian city inhabited by humans, faeries, elves and vampires, and adetective pursuing a serial killer within.

This seems like it could be real hit if the film actuallyturns out as good as the concept seems.

Singh's next project, Mirror Mirror, hits theaters on March16, 2012 and re-interprets the classic tale of Snow White. He's expected tobegin production on Carnival Row in June in New Orleans.
