Sacha Baron Cohen has been added to Quentin Tarantino'sstellar ensemble cast of his western Django Unchained.

Variety reports that the Borat and Bruno star will play"Scotty, a gambler who buys Django's wife as a female companion. Thoughthe part is small, sources said Tarantino was very particular on who he wantedto play it, given the character's importance to the story."

Django Unchained begins filming in early 2012 for aChristmas 2012 release.

Cohen's upcoming releases include Hugo and The Dictator.
