Chris Tucker is currently in serious talks with Ice Cube toreprise his role as Smokey in another installment of the Friday series.

According to TMZ, Cube has had discussions with Tucker, butno formal offer has been made just yet. Tucker, who starred in the originalFriday, had previously stated that he had no interest in returning to thefranchise, citing religious reasons. But now, it sounds like Tucker is at leastwilling to consider making an appearance in the fourth movie.

Cube himself is still in talks to write and produce thefilm. He may also be in line to direct, but negotiations with New Line Cinemaare still being hashed out.
