Jeremy Renner has been talking about his role in theforthcoming spy sequel The Bourne Legacy, talking Treadstone and revealing hischaracter's name.

Jeremy Renner is not Bourne But is in Bourne Legacy!!

Speaking to Empire, Renner said "My character is calledAaron Cross, but he ends up having a bunch of different names. For fans of thefranchise, [The Bourne Legacy] has that same ticking clock, but it's a newprogramme and new characters."

But what of the shady government organisation Treadstone,which set all this carnage in motion in the first place? Well according toRenner, they'll still be involved.

"Yeah, it's that same deal, it's just a new set ofagents with a different leash" he explained. "It's the same tempo andpace but more expansive and bigger. The differences are pretty vast but you'llknow it's a Bourne movie."

The Bourne Legacy hits screens on August 17, 2012, whilebefore then Renner will be seen in Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.
