, Ridley Scott's Monopoly continues to further itsdevelopment. In fact, apart from being dropped by Universal last month, it'sbusiness as usual for the board game adaptation.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Hasbro and Scott havenow hired writers Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski to pen the script.

The duo is best known for their work on Tim Burton's EdWood, Jim Carrey's Man on the Moon, and, more recently, the adaptation ofStephen King's 1408.

Other projects that were dropped from the Hasbro/Universalmovie deal include McG's Ouija and Gore Verbinski's Clue. However, likeMonopoly, both films are still in active development.
