- BOND 23
This has been a very good weekend for all you Bond fans, hasnews updates just didn’t want to stop coming and it seem that the Sam Mendesproject seems to be finally picking up some steam.
Daniel Crag As James Bond |
The most concrete story comes from Bond23.net which reportsthat the film is likely to begin shooting in Istanbul. Turkish Culture MinisterErtugrul Gunay has officially granted access for the crew to shoot in theirhistoric Sultanahmet Square.
"Shooting will start within the next few months,"said Gunay. "Rather than closing the square completely, some parts couldbe partially closed from time to time for the filming. We have to consider ourtourists, but we can accommodate foreign film production companies that want touse Turkey as a platform."
The site also mentions that former Bond 23 scribe PeterMorgan claims his "big hook" from the original draft appears toremain intact in the latest draft written by John Logan.
"I hear that an idea, the central idea, is still therebut not one similar thing other than that," said Morgan. "I thinkthey've still kept the big hook, which I'm not going to tell you!"
In a bit of casting fluff, Sherlock star BenedictCumberbatch made a comment to The Sun on Sunday claiming that he would jump atthe chance to play 007 in one of the next Bond films. The actor sounds quitejealous of super spy stars like Daniel Craig and Matt Damon in particular.
Adele |
And finally, MTV News let slip earlier this week that VMAaward winner ADELE (OH YES!!!) has a new "theme" in the works forNovember, something she would neither confirm nor deny as Bond related.Nevertheless, our hopes remain high.
