Since his recent success in X-Men: First Class, MichaelFassbender has become a very busy man in Hollywood. You can catch him in hislatest film, Haywire that will be hitting theatres very soon.

Fasbender still found time to speak to IFC about histhoughts on exactly where another X-film might take Erik Lehnsherr.

“You know what’s interesting about Magneto and Professor Xfrom the comic books as well, is there’s such a complexity to theirrelationship," he explained, offering the notion that Magneto need notnecessarily become a full-fledged villain. “It’s not just like clear-cutenemies; they’re best friends as well. In the comic books, even after they’vehad this sort of rift, Professor X asks Magneto to come back and look after thestudents at certain points... I think there’s always that complexity in theirrelationship and we want to keep that alive as possible, because that’s I thinka really interesting thing — the conflict there.”

There's not yet word on when a First Class sequel might moveforward, but Matthew Vaughn is tentatively expected to return to the director'schair.

Fassbender, meanwhile, can also be seen later this summer inanother genre quasi-prequel, Ridley Scott's Prometheus.
