Attached to the project in late 2010, StevenSpielberg plans to make Robopocalypse his next film after this year's Lincoln.He discussed the project briefly with Time Out (via The Playlist), dropping afew details about what moviegoers can expect.

"It’s a movie about a global war between man andmachine," says Spielberg, likening the sci-fi aspect to his MinorityReport. "...[I]t’s a future that is coming true faster than any of usthought it would. 'Robopocalypse' takes place in 15 or 20 years, so it’ll beanother future we can relate to. It’s about the consequences of creating technologies,which make our lives easier, and what happens when that technology becomessmarter than we are. It’s not the newest theme, it’s been done throughoutscience fiction, but it’s a theme that becomes more relevant every year."

Based on the novel of the same name by Daniel H.Wilson, Robopocalypse has been adapted by Drew Goddard and is expected to gointo production this year for a 2013 release.
