The god of thunder is getting some help from anOscar-nominated screenwriter.

Deadline reports that Robert Rodat (The Patriot, SavingPrivate Ryan) has come aboard to rewrite Marvel's Thor 2.

Jaimie Alexander is Sexy

The original script was penned by Don Payne, who was a writeron the first Thor as well as on Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

In other news, Jaimie Alexander has confirmed to MTV that her character Sif will appear in Thor 2.

"I'm a comic book nerd at heart, so I'dlike to see the relationship between Thor and Sif progress," she said when asked where she would like tosee the character go. "Whether or not they do that, we're not sure yet. We'll see. Ithink that element will be in there, but I don’t know how much."

She was alsoasked whether we might see Sif in Avengers, "Sometimes younever know. It'll be funny - they'll call you and they'll do a post-creditsscene and you go, 'Oh, so everything I said in interviews is completely wrong.'So you never know!"

Thor 2 will be releasing in November 2013.
