• MAN OFSTEEL GETS LANA

Zack Snyder'sMan of Steel has added another famous character from the Superman mythos to theproduction, albeit in a younger form than fans might have been expecting.Superman Super Site confirms today that 13-year-old Jadin Gould will play ayoung Lana Lang in a flashback scene to Clark Kent's Smallville childhood.

Firstappearing in 1950's Superboy #50, Lana is the teenage girlfriend of youngClark. She was a central character in the television series,"Smallville" (played by Kristin Kreuk) and has also appeared as ateenager on the big screen in 1978's Superman: The Movie (played by DianeSherry) and later as an adult, re-entering Clark's life in Superman III (Playedby Annette O'Toole, who would later play Martha Kent on"Smallville").

At her youngage, Gould already boasts an impressive resume, having appeared on televisionshows like "Chuck," "Rizzoli & Isles," "TheMentalist" and on the big screen in Battle: Los Angeles.

Now filming, Man ofSteel's cast also includes Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner,Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix and LaurenceFishburne. It is targeting a June 14, 2013 release
