Idris Elba Won a Globe for Luther

For a while there was a lot of uncertainty concerning thecast of Thor and who will be returning. The majority of the cast was handpicked by Kenneth Branagh and when he left, it left a lot of questions aboutwho was going stay

 

First, we got confirmation that Natalie Portman would bereturning, then a few days ago Jaimie Alexander confirmed that she will bereturning to the franchise.

Now we just got confirmation that Idris Elba, who playedHeimdall, has confirmed that he will be returning to the franchise as well.

"Thor 2 for sure," Elba responded when asked aboutfuture appearances in the Marvel Universe, "... We're going at itagain."

The actor did admit that he had not yet met with AlanTaylor, the recently-announced director of the Marvel Studios sequel. He wasalso less certain when asked if Heimdall might make a cameo appearance inMarvel's The Avengers, confirming that he hasn't been involved (at least sofar) in that project.

Also confirmed to again star Chris Hemsworth, NataliePortman and Tom Hiddleston, Thor 2 is planned to hit theaters on November 15,2013.
