THOR 2 (Director Update)

Two TV veterans are reportedly on Marvel's shortlist toreplace Patty Jenkins in the director's chair of Thor 2.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, HBO staples Alan Taylorand Daniel Minahan are being eyed to replace Patty Jenkins at the helm of theThor sequel.

Both Taylor and Minahan have directed episodes of HBO'sgritty fantasy series Game of Thrones, so that's certainly a good omen for Thor2. Taylor's other credits include episodes of Mad Men, The Sopranos andBoardwalk Empire, while Minahan's credits include True Blood and Deadwood.

Furthermore, THR says new screenwriters are being consideredto rewrite the project. They include John Collee (Master and Commander: FarSide of the World), Robert Rodat (Saving Private Ryan) and Oscar winner Roger Avary(Pulp Fiction).
