A story of an international naval fleet engaged in a very dynamic and intense battle against an alien race known as "The Regents". The aliens come to planet Earth, on a mission to build a power source in the ocean. Upon their visit, they come in contact with a navy fleet. The film is also purported to show both sides of the story, from the aliens' perspective, as well as the humans' so the audience knows exactly where the opponent's ships are.

First Look at Henry Cavil as Superman

Total film managed to get an interview with Henry Cavil, the Man of Steel, and discussed what his training is like to be in top shape to be Superman.

"I'm on 5000 calories a day… You’ve got to eat protein first, then a little bit of carbs… you’ve gotta keep your hunger levels going. I’m training two and a half hours a day, pushing my body beyond its normal limits, putting on a lot of muscle mass and just making myself look like Superman," he said about his training regimen.

He also described the first time he put on the suit. "It’s extremely cool. There's no other feeling like it. They just put it on, I turned around and look in the mirror and you can’t really play it cool – you sort of guffaw and laugh. I thought ‘OK, holy hell, this is real, it’s not a joke anymore. This is it…you’re doing it, you’re right in the middle of it.’"

He added that he is focusing on "being as true as I can be to the original character and who the character is."

Man of Steel, scheduled to hit theaters on June 14, 2013, co-stars Amy Adams, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Christopher Meloni, Harry Lennix and Laurence Fishburne.

GOTTI: IN THE SHADOW OF MY FATHER (Cast News)

• BEN FOSTER MIGHT BE IN THE SHADOW OF JOHN TRAVOLTA

The most pivotal role in the Gotti: In The Shadow Of My Father (as it is now entitled) has been cast. Ben Foster will be playing John Gotti Jr.

From the sound of it, Foster and Travolta will both be playing the man at different times of his life, but could be possible that they could infact be playing father and son. It’s all just rumour for the moment.

 He is a solid choice for the role as his managed to show that his able to play a whole range of different roles.

With Al Pacino also in the cast, Barry Levinson is re-writing the script alongside James Toback and plans to kick off shooting in January. Foster, meanwhile, seems to delighted to team up once more with the man who gave him an early break. "Barry Levinson was the first director who took a chance on me, and I have a career because of him. This is a film about family, fathers and sons. I am deeply honoured for the opportunity to work with Barry and the amazing cast he is assembling to help bring the story of the Gotti family to the screen."

Gotti will focus on the family dynamic within the mob group, and follow how Gotti Jr eventually breaks away from his father in an attempt to leave the world of crime behind...

Laurence Fishburne has been cast as Perry White in Zack Snyder’s Superman pic Man of Steel. This is truly a surprise!!

The rumour mill has been working overtime with people trying to figure out who would be playing the grouchy editor that will take on Lois and Clark in the new Man of Steel film. Now we know it will be Morpheus!

Now there is a chance that this could spike some outrageous from the less open-minded comic book fans, who don’t really agree with this colour-blind casting approach that we have seen taking place in comic book films recently. Examples of this would be, Michael Clarke Duncan playing The Kingpin in Daredevil, or even the more recent nonsense complaints about Idris Elba in Thor

Regardless of this we sure that Fishburne will be wonderful at being the no nonsense editor, Perry White.

Fishburne, who just left the job of leading the CSI crime team on US TV, joins a cast that already includes Cavill, Adams, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Diane Lane, Russell Crowe, Julia Ormond, Harry Lennix and Antje Traue.

And we do know that the film is getting ready to start shooting in September/October for a June 2013 release.

STEP UP 4 (Cast News)

Ryan Guzman has officially joined the cast of Step Up 4 opposite Kathryn McCormick, Summit Entertainment revealed today.

The project -- which has apparently dropped "4ever" from the title -- will be shot in 3D and should begin principal photography later this summer under director Scott Speer.

Guzman, a professional model, will make his acting debut with the franchise sequel, which is set in Miami this time around. The previously reported McCormick, meanwhile, is best known for her recent appearances on "So You Think You Can Dance".

Reese Witherspoon

• REESE WITHERSPOON GETS HER WISH LIST

Reese Witherspoon has signed on to headline the upcoming comedy Wish List for Walt Disney Pictures, Deadline reports.

Witherspoon will play the leading role of a woman who, as a child, made ten wishes on a single coin at a wishing well, unaware that her coin never quite reached the well's magical bottom. When the coin is finally jostled loose 25 years later, the wishes all come true in the middle of her unsuspecting adult life.

The article says that the script was initially being prepared for a male lead, but will now be rewritten specifically for Witherspoon.
