Amanda Seyfried has entered final negotiations to join thecast of Tom Hooper's big-screen adaptation of Les Miserables, Deadline reports.She'll play the part of Cosette.

The cast includes Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathawayand Eddie Redmayne.

In turn based on Victor Hugo's 1862 novel, the hit Broadwaymusical by Claude-Michel Schönberg opened in 1985, beginning one of the longestruns for a musical ever. Set against the backdrop of the 19th Century Frenchrebellion, the musical has been adapted for the screen by William Nicholson.
